Civil Design Coordinator

Civil Design Coordinator will be a part of project execution team BU Transmission Solution in Karachi, which is responsible for execution and completion of Grid Stations projects in line with time, cost and quality requirements. Responsibilities: Understand overall scope of work especially detailed scope of work pertaining to civil and building services of grid station projects Review design documents and give his input for construction planning Prioritize and coordinate project activities with respect to site preparation and construction of grid stations Support in cost control, document control and quality control activities Provide the design and engineering input to site staff to facilitate smooth construction and oversee the civil construction and building services installation works periodically on sites against agreed schedule Assist head of civil works in coordination with engineering department during substation layout process to freeze the civil design Finalize the master list of civil drawings with designers / subcontractors/client Collect the civil design input information, drawings, loading data from electrical design section and forward to civil designers / subcontractors Review the conceptual drawings with electrical, civil designer/ subcontractor for proper coordination to avoid clashes during construction stage Arrange red-marked drawings from site and as-Built drawings from designer/sub-contractor Participate in the selection process for nominations of the civil works subcontractors Arrange the soil investigation and report for design Review the material submittal in line with specifications before submitting to Client/ Consultant for approval Liaise with client/ consultant for timely approval of material submittal Conduct site meetings with civil site manager and subcontractor(s) to review the construction methods to expedite the progress. Liaison with subcontractors particularly civil contractors, for timely completion of project in accordance with required specifications Perform according to the Business Conduct Guidelines and establishes a culture of trust and integrity Your Qualifications and Skills – Digital and Solid! Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from reputable university 3-5 years’ experience in civil design (preferably in grid station projects) • Proficiency in English (Verbal and Written) Organization: Siemens Energy Company: Siemens Pakistan Engineering Co.
