S&P Global Market Intelligence The Role: Team Leader, Metals and Mining Industry Content The Team: Metals & Mining Industry Content collects data for global mining industry right from early stage exploration projects to mines and processing facilities. Additionally, data is being collected for drill intersections at covered mine properties, plus mining and exploration claims/leases spatial data is compiled for dozens of countries. We are having a Global Coverage of over 50 commodities, 36,000+ properties /projects. We have offices in different locations, India, Manila, Islamabad, Halifax who work towards common goal for publishing data in a timely, accurate & comprehensive manner which helps clients to take business decision with conviction. The Impact: This role would involve leading a team of Data Researchers as well as planning, prioritization, and execution on projects or initiatives or processes and sound coordination among other team leads across global sites to ensure accurate and timely processing of data and related Quality Check processes. Responsibilities: Responsible for day to day operations of the team and interact with employees daily and guide them to work on team priorities. Mentor direct reports to meet team level KPI’s as well as individual performance objectives. Conducts team meetings frequently to update latest policies to the members and continuing expectations. Effective co-ordination and constructive relationship with colleagues in different locations around the globe. Answers team member questions, helps with team member problems, and oversees team member work for accuracy and Timeliness Manage the performance review process, as well as talent development and management. Create reports to update on team's progress to next level Management Manage data/content management projects or initiatives important to the business. Identify/drive lean and automation projects (Robotics, AI etc). Identify individual strengths to appropriately delegate work amongst the team. What We’re Looking For: Graduate of BS Geology / Mining Engineering / Science courses or equivalent Amenable to work in different shifts Strong Communication and good reading and comprehension skills. Must have Advance Proficiency in MS Excel and Basic SQL with DBMS Advance knowledge on Pathfinder with their features/usability along with WEST, WESTx & CTS know-how Any relevant people management experience would be an added advantage Proven ability to work with minimal direction, maintain focus while working with routine tasks. Maintains high ethical standards both personally and professionally, to maintain transparency in the team People management skills, ability to build and motivate a team Flexibility to work across various shifts on need basis Capacity to give and accept feedback constructively and provide coaching to the team Exceptional oral and written communication skills Good problem resolution skills through effective coordination of multi-sites stakeholder management Ability to communicate with people at different levels of the organization and across a wide spectrum of cultures Strong organization skills required to prioritize work and meet the established deadline Grade/Level: 9 The Location: Makati, Philippines About Company Statement: S&P Global delivers essential intelligence that powers decision making.
