<p>Our company is a major player in the TV business sector, with interests across different genres of production, and a significant distribution organisation.  </p>
<p>The company’s portfolio of brands and its library of content is both enviable.</p>
<p>THE ROLE</p>
<p>The primary aim of this role is to source, evaluate and acquire rights in commercially attractive television properties / IP / Brands for international distribution.  </p>
<p>The role will work closely with the VP, and the nurturing of existing relationships (and the creation of new ones) across the TV development and production world is a crucial element of the role.</p>
<p>The role also includes responsibility for overseeing the scripted workflow, which will largely be executed by a Coordinator.</p>
<p>Of course, a role of this nature will involve international travel.</p>
<p>CANDIDATE PROFILE</p>
<p>It goes without saying that a successful track record of working in scripted TV acquisitions is essential for this role - and that you must have a thoroughly commercial mindset (with a love of deal-making).</p>
<p>Perhaps you’ve been working in acquisitions for a smaller or less prestigious company – or your talents are just not being recognised – either way, you must be ready to step up to this position.</p>
<p>Our client <i>might </i>consider a candidate with a successful track record on the sales side of the business, although this isn’t a sure thing.</p>
