Software Support Engineer

ºsed in Macquarie Park, we have an exciting Sydney based opportunity for a motivated SCADA superstar to join our Technical Support team. As a Software Support Engineer, you will be passionate about customer’s success, be a dedicated problem solver, bubbling with enthusiasm and technical experience working with our GeoSCADA platform Responsibilities and /or learning opportunities with this role will include but not be limited to: owning, investigating and resolving complex software issues, reproducing (as necessary) or proposing work-a-rounds for customers. accurate and timely documentation of activities and findings in case management system contribution to digital self-help materials to improve customer experience via tech notes, “how to” video’s, FAQ articles, white papers and knowledge objects etc collaboration with colleagues in other support centres and departments So, why are you perfect for this role? your tertiary qualification in engineering or computer science complemented by experience in; PLC / RTU programming or industrial automation / control systems integration your skills with GeoSCADA, Wonderware (Intouch, Wonderware Historian, Application Server), AVEVA Plant SCADA (citect) and/or alternative industrial HMI / SCADA software your experience with factory operations and/or systems integration strong verbal and written communication (these are essential) as is effective time management and prioritization skills you appreciate the need for a flexible approach to a work schedule including a willingness to work some evenings and public holidays as part of a support roster That’s the technical stuff, but equally critical is that you are hungry to learn and willing to challenge and be challenged whilst remaining a selfless and committed team player.
