BENEFITS INFORMATION: For information on Sysco’s Benefits, please visit https://SyscoBenefits.com Job Summary: We are seeking experienced Commercial Drivers License Instructors to join our Driver Academy to teach our new Delivery Partners how to drive safely and pass the CDL exam. Our goal is to give our new drivers the kind of training that includes the highest standards of safety and prescribed work methods that give them the tools for success. Our Associate training is second to none, and if you have the skills and the joy to teach others how to be successful as safe new driver, we would love to hear from you. Duties and Responsibilities: Provides hands-on training in advanced applications, training and testing preparations in Vehicle Inspection, Skills/ Maneuvers, Range and Road Driving Skills required to meet and or exceed requirements needed to successfully pass the Class A Commercial Driver’s Test. Uses established training materials to present training exercises and practice in preparing students to safely operate a commercial motor vehicle. Provides training in prescribed safety methods and practices associated with Commercial Vehicle training Provides CDL Handbook training in compliance with all local, state and federal rules, regulations and laws. Evaluate and or test candidates for progress during stages of training, skills of new candidates when needed, and readiness for CDL exam. Maintain proper documentation, tracking, evaluation reports, attendance, etc Experience Required: Candidates must have 5 years minimum Class A commercial vehicle experience and should have some experience in training and instruction. Must be physically able to operate motor vehicles. Be patient and a good leader towards students. Demonstrate empathy towards students during training, making a positive impact in their lives. Experience Preferred: Any education experience is a plus. Computer skills to complete and create reports. Previous Certified CDL Instructor or Examiner a plus Bring a strong work ethic, self-motivation, and problem solving skills. A strong desire to succeed and getting it done right. Licenses/Certification Required: Must hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License and have a good driving record. Valid Medical Card, Clean MVR Report a plus. Working on your feet for several hours, Climbing, sitting, bending in and around vehicle equipment.
