Prospectus are excited to be working exclusively with our client to help them recruit a Fundraising Assistant. This role will play a key role in helping the organisation further their work to tackle Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). DMD is a devastating muscle wasting disease and is the most common genetic killer of children worldwide. There are limited treatment options and no cure. In the UK, there are around 2,500 boys affected and around 300,000 worldwide. Children often lose mobility by their teams and won't live beyond their 30s. But thanks to recent break throughs, we believe we can save them.

This role will report into the Fundraising Manager and is offered on a permanent full-time basis paying up to £24,000 per annum. They are ideally looking for someone who can come into the Shepherd's Bush, London three days a week with two days a week from home.

The Fundraising Assistant will report to the Fundraising Manager and will work alongside the Finance Officer and Communications Manager. The post holder will be responsible for Fundraising Admin (40%) working in partnership with the Fundraising Manager, Database and Support (40%) to manage the fundraising information held on the database, and Patient Support (20%) as the first point of contact for queries to Duchenne UK both through the website and on social media.

They are looking for someone who has some limited experience in fundraising or events and a drive to support the development of successful funding activities. The ideal candidate will be a relationship builder who is a confident writer to communicate with different audiences using a range of channels.

At Prospectus we invest in your journey as a candidate and are committed to supporting you with your application. We welcome all candidates to apply, regardless of age, sex/gender, disability, race, religion, sexual orientation, marital status or pregnancy/maternity. If you have any disability and require reasonable adjustment/s to any part of the process then please contact Adam Allnutt at Prospectus on [email protected].

If you feel you meet some of the criteria but not all, we really hope you'll enquire and learn more. Prospectus can advise and support on each part of the role and hopefully your application, so we look forward to hearing from you.

In order to apply please submit your CV in the first instance. Should your experience be suitable, we will arrange for a meeting to brief you on the role. You'll then have all the information you need to formally apply. We are looking forward to connecting with you soon.
