S&P Global Market Intelligence The Role: Financial Analyst, Business Systems/Revenue & ACV S&P Global Market Intelligence, the division of S&P Global (NYSE: SPGI) that provides essential intelligence for individuals, companies and governments to make decisions with confidence, is searching for a Financial Analyst to support Business Systems for Revenue & Annualized Contract Value (“ACV”) Finance team. The new Financial Analyst will lead the process enhancement and analytical tool development. This will include development of Tableau dashboards, Alteryx workflows, and partnering with technology to ensure system databases set up in manner to be leveraged by the team. The Location: Makati, Philippines or Penang, Malaysia The Impact: This role presents a unique opportunity to work at a large public company and implement technologies widely used in the industry. Both the Revenue & ACV Finance team as well as end-consumers of our data are limited in their ability to analyze due to lack of central storage and over-reliance on excel. Improving the tools the team uses is a critical priority both to set the foundation as well as progress towards more sophisticated analysis of results. The Career Opportunity: The role offers the opportunity to gain a centralized view of S&P Global Market Intelligence Revenue & ACV Finance team, with responsibilities focusing on financial reporting and analysis. There is a track record of advancement within the Revenue & ACV Finance team and the broader S&P Global Finance organization. The Team / The Business: The S&P Global Market Intelligence Revenue & ACV Finance team consists of employees in US, India and Philippines. The team is currently based in New York, New Jersey, Charlottesville, Las Vegas, Ahmedabad and Manila. The Team also interacts with other divisions and S&P Global Corporate. Your Skills: Strong technical skills with knowledge of Python and R as well as Alteryx or a similar tool. Knowledge of data warehousing, ability to manage multiple priorities, and experience with Tableau or a similar tool. Knowledge of ACV, US GAAP and revenue recognition is preferred. 3+ years’ work experience working with tools and technology in some capacity. Responsibilities: Use Alteryx to automate and enhance month end close process for Revenue & ACV Finance team Build, enhance, and maintain Tableau dashboards used to surface results to business leaders Partner closely with technology team to ensure AWS data warehouses set up in manner that supports both reporting and analysis of results Support enhancements to forecasting tool (Anaplan) to support improved budget and forecasting processes Partner with Client Analytics team to identify opportunities to better leverage Salesforce Einstein analytics Prepare analysis for ad hoc requests and special projects, and provide direct support to the Managers and Directors of Finance on an as-needed basis. Qualifications: Must have a Bachelor’s Degree. 3+ years’ relevant work experience. Knowledge of ACV, US GAAP and revenue recognition guidance is preferred. Strong knowledge of large data manipulation skills. Knowledge of R and Python. Experience working with Alteryx or similar tool. Experience working with Tableau or similar tool is strongly preferred. Experience with ERP (Oracle Financials), Zuora, Salesforce.com and Cognos TM1 is preferred. Knowledge of SQL and data warehouse experience is also preferred. Possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop and implement innovative solutions for resolving operational and financial problems. Demonstrate investigative research and analytical capabilities necessary to leadership team with accurate and insightful interpretation of financial information. Strong attention to detail and analytical ability with an inquisitive mind. Ability to work independently and as a fully contributing member of a team. Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
