Claims Specialist (QS Background)

We are currently on the lookout for a Claims Specialist with a background in Quantity surveying (Qualified). The role is working for a power generation business based at the Dubai HQ. <br> <br> This role is a permanent hire for the business and comes with a family package. Candidates for this role must have a Degree in QS from a Western University. <br> <br> <b>Requirements:</b><br> <br> - Experience with defending acceleration claims, global claims and loss and expense claims under English law.<br> <br> - A detailed understanding of the client agreements is essential, as well as the essential terms of the EPC Contract.<br> <br> - Supports Project Director and Contract Manager Execution in client related commercial issues related to inter-member claims and alerts them in relation to site issues that might have an impact on the contract with the client.<br> <br> - Responsible for the claim management of the client agreement and subcontractors, establishes necessary documentation (including maintaining PIRS system), assesses risk as well as incoming and outgoing claim potentials in close coordination with the Site Commercial Manager.<br> <br> - Responsible for commercial closeout of claims in relation to the consortium agreement and subcontracts, including preparation of settlement agreements and releases <br> <br><b><br>Professional Qualifications:</b><br><br> - Qualified Quantity Surveyor (BSc / MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent) <br><br> - Legal qualification an advantage<br><br> - Formal disputes resolution experience an advantage<br><br> - Proficient in
