What's in for you: Develop control structures within the ServiceNow Platform to ensure the accuracy and quality of data through all upstream and downstream data channels. Create, manage, and enforce governance policies regarding usage, best practices, platform hygiene and information security. This role will require a flexible, agile approach to meet our evolving business needs. You will work alongside several teams including business analysts, project managers, data engineers, developers, scrum master and business stakeholders Provide thought leadership and participate with projects that involve any of the upstream or downstream data flows and processes Ensure controls are in place over applications to ensure the data integrity by performing data integrity gap analysis Coordinate the resolution of data integrity gaps by working with the business owners and IT Work with business partners, business analysts, product owners to gather and understand functional requirements, develop queries and provide reports The incumbent will report to the Director, Services Enablement. Key Responsibilities The candidate will: Develop and implement on a clear roadmap for the Data Governance initiative. Develop and document governance strategies on maintaining standards and best practices. Develop a data strategy for commonly used data sets that allows for reusability, efficiency, accessibility, and accountability. Define the data flows into and out of the ServiceNow Platform. Work with the business analysts, product owners & scrum master on the team to understand and document product governance. Be proficient with data flow diagrams. Set the gold standard for extended teams such as Information Security and Privacy. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or a related field is required, or in lieu, a demonstrated equivalence in work experience 5+ years’ experience working as a member of or leading a business analytics or data governance team. Basic level proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL). Strong understanding of databases and data structures. Strong analytical and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Intermediate facilitation skills with the ability to drive issues to closure. Self-motivated and able to handle tasks with minimal supervision Ability to write various documents such as functional requirements. Understanding of privacy laws and regulations. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team Exposure to Agile Scrum development lifecycle methodologies Love for learning and applying new technologies to improve business outcomes Flexible Working (optional) We pride ourselves on our agility and diversity, and we welcome requests to work flexibly.
