We are located in our purpose built, secure delivery centre in Belfast; across our regional offices in Cardiff, Bradford, London, Manchester, Birmingham,  Glasgow and Edinburgh; and on a range of client sites.</p><p></p><p><b>About the Role</b></p><p></p><p>The Operate Delivery Office aims  to support our business to deliver first class operational excellence in everything that we do; transitioning, running and growing our engagements.  This role of Senior Delivery Programme Manager will sit within the Delivery arm of the Delivery Office.  They will be responsible for delivering new engagements into Operations, ensuring they transition effectively; providing governance, monitoring, assurance and standardisation support for consolidated delivery programmes across PwC core lines of service and for our global clients working across our internal service areas.  This is someone who has experience of running Delivery led programmes of work; an influencer and organiser who thrives in a fast paced environment of complexity; is excellent at connecting strategy to execution and can provide high quality solutions to ensure operational excellence &amp; quality within our operational deliveries.</p><p><br /> </p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li><p>Develop robust and trusting relationships within our Operate business, across all lines of service and our external client base </p></li><li><p>Work in partnership with each Delivery Service Area to support their engagements, understanding proposed deliverables and commercials, contributing to mobilisation planning and owning the programme delivery on behalf of the relevant delivery lead, ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget</p></li><li><p>Putting in place overarching programme governance and reporting for all engagements within your span of control</p></li><li><p>Running our Delivery Programme Board to provide succinct engagement updates and appropriately manage risk and challenges within the programme</p></li><li><p>Manage risk exposure across multiple projects through the identification and management of key project risks to ensure the delivery of business goals</p></li><li><p>Providing input to help shape and support client requests for support</p></li><li><p>Provide management and strategic support within the Delivery team</p></li><li><p>Championing the use of the Operate quality frameworks to drive programme excellence through mobilisation and operational excellence through Delivery</p></li><li><p>Drive standardisation in our solutions to support high quality, efficient outcomes</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><u>Essential</u></b></p><ul><li><p>Significant experience of successfully managing a range of complex, high value, transformation projects and programmes from project start up through to project closure.</p></li><li><p>Experience of dealing with senior clients and stakeholders</p></li><li><p>Exceptionally strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines, managing and directing a team with strong negotiation and influencing skills.</p></li><li><p>Process improvement experience working on large scale programmes,</p></li><li><p>Profound understanding and application of Microsoft Suite</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><u>Preferred</u></b></p><ul><li><p>Undergraduate degree (e.g. BA, BSc)</p></li><li><p>Previous experience of working in a regulatory driven change environment</p></li><li><p>Previous experience of working in an Technology enabled change environment</p></li><li><p>Previous experience working within a Financial Services environment</p></li><li><p>Previous experience of working in a Managed Services environment</p></li><li><p>Any relevant professional qualifications such as PRINCE2, Six Sigma, Lean</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Functional Skills</b></p><ul><li><p>Ability to communicate and escalate key issues in a timely manner</p></li><li><p>Business / commercial acumen</p></li><li><p>Customer relationship management</p></li><li><p>Decision making</p></li><li><p>Financial management</p></li><li><p>Problem / Solution management </p></li><li><p>Program / project management</p></li><li><p>Project / portfolio management tools - Project / BVP/ CBA / PPM</p></li><li><p>Risk Management</p></li><li><p>SDLC Methodology - Agile / Scrum / Iterative Development</p></li><li><p>Understanding of future technologies<br /> </p></li></ul><p><b>Technical Skills</b></p><ul><li><p>Strong appreciation of Technology and Digital Innovation</p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b>What is in it for you?</b></p><p></p><p>As we’re responsive to client demands, your role will be varied and challenging, providing you with an opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients.
