Read blueprints, layouts and work orders. Know multiple welding types.<br><br>DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (not listed in any particular order) <br><ul><li>To ensure that the products are manufactured in accordance with our working procedures and within the required time frame and quality standards. </li><li>Make sure that all the relevant information and paperwork associated with the work order is available prior to starting the work. </li><li>Check the material issued matches the requirements of the drawings and work order information sheets. </li><li>Check the Weld Performance Specification (WPS) against the drawings and or weld logs. </li><li>Check all welding consumables issued are correct against the WPS applicable for the job. </li><li>Examines weld for bead size and other specifications </li><li>Repairs broken or cracked parts </li><li>Prepares broken parts for welding by grooving or scarifying surfaces. </li><li>Record and complete paperwork associated with work packs. </li><li>Demonstrate a high standard of safety awareness and housekeeping. </li><li>Carry out any other miscellaneous task that you are suitably trained for Preheats workpiece with hand torch </li><li>Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Field Supervisor within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfil these. </li><li>Demonstrate a personal commitment to Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment. </li><li>Apply Weatherford, and where appropriate Client Company Quality, Health, Safety & Environment Policy and Management Systems. </li><li>Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford. </li><li>Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level. </li><li>Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.</li><li>Perform various other duties and activities related to pumping units regarding servicing and repair.</li></ul> <br><br><b> Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li>2+ years related welding experience required</li><li>Must be able to read blueprints & technical work instructions. </li><li>Must be a team player willing to assist and help fellow colleagues. </li><li>Must be a good verbal communicator. </li><li>Must be flexible and adaptable to adjust to the demands of the oil industry.</li><li>Must have the ability to paticipate in on-call rotation</li></ul>
