S&P Global Market Intelligence The Role: Senior Data Researcher, T The Team: The Transactions team’s mission is to produce the most actionable, transparent, trusted, and comprehensive data & insights in the marketplace for M&A, Public Offerings, Private Placements, Equity Buyback, and Bankruptcy. The Impact: The selected candidate will contribute to the department’s and cluster’s success by making key decisions related to data, policies, projects, and talent development. The selected candidate would get an opportunity to work in a competitive environment and to interact with brilliant minds in the industry.   The Team: The current position is with Data Quality & Governance team. Mission of the Quality team is to become a trusted partner of content teams to drive improvements in data quality so our clients can make business and financial decisions with confidence. The team is responsible to assess the accuracy of all data collection teams, and work with them to improve the data collection standards. The Impact: Enhance client experience. Assist in providing high quality information by identifying gaps in collection process. What’s in it for you: Audit the data collected by data collections teams. Understand the usage pattern of client. Initiate and execute Process improvement and Automation projects. Responsibilities: Responsible to perform accuracy check on various data points collected by data collection teams. Analyze error trends and root causes of opportunity areas Identify procedural gaps, and data inconsistencies, and work with content team to improve them. Provides input and ideas for new collection methods and product enhancements related to the dataset Troubleshoot problems or issues and provide support to the team Actively track the client data usage and errors to drive the focus of sampling team. What We’re Looking For: Proven expertise of existing dataset. Analytical mindset and strong in logical reasoning Strong written and verbal Communication Strong desire of upskilling Basic Qualifications: Individual having minimum 3 years of experience in data collection & standardization Should have exposure working on some department level projects and clearly define the deliverables Knowledge of SQL, Excel will be a plus point Basic level of understanding and executing SQL Queries Preferred Qualifications Individuals having experience in Industry & Asset Data will be an added benefit. Hands on experience in developing and executing SQL Queries Lean/six sigma certification is a plus to have Good understanding of CIQ, CIQPro platforms & Excel Plugins Flexible Working (optional) We pride ourselves on our agility and diversity, and we welcome requests to work flexibly.
