EHS & Electrical Technical Nominee

Location: Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne Department: EHS Mode of Employment: Permanent / Full time ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for a EHS & Electrical Technical Nominee (EHS/ETN) to assist with the development and continues improvement initiatives in relation to EHS legislation, Electrical standards, and practices to ensure a safe, zero harm and efficient work environment is maintained. LET’S TALK ABOUT YOU Your profile Holds a valid Electrical Licence Cert IV in WHS Experience as an Electrical nominee Greater than 2ys experience as a site safety officer or as a company EHS officer Full working rights in Australia Valid drivers’ licence and ability to travel to sites around Australia Your responsibilities EHS Leveraging and harnessing proactive partnering relationships with internal and external stakeholders through being a trusted advisor, listening, discussing, and providing clear advice towards set goals. Assist with the development, reviewing documentation and continues improvement of EHS initiatives at a business and Organisational level Develop, and deliver training and awareness programs related to the role Co-ordinate EHS compliance audits at site to identify good practices and gaps against the Organisational requirements. Reporting business level EHS statistics to the Siemens Energy Global team Develop a strong working relationship with key internal and external customer stakeholders Asist internal stakeholders with preparing reports, procedures and management plans Asist Managers with the injury management and return to work process Process workers Compensation claims within the Transmission business and liaise with the insurer as required Electrical Technical Nominee Monitor the completion of electrical work under Siemens Energy license, ensuring it is appropriately supervised and verifying its effectiveness by reviewing Certificates of Electrical Compliance, generated by the electrical workers who complete the work for the nominated state Monitor the electrical work completed by a subcontractor engaged by SEA. In this case the Technical Nominee is expected to make reasonable enquiry as to the adequacy of the subcontractor’s provided Certificate of Electrical Compliance and all records of testing that have been performed prior to completion of the work. Provides operational support to assist the effective implementation of the Siemens Energy Electrical Safety Program by collaborating and working closely with the managers of employees who complete electrical work under the Siemens electrical contractor licences. Undertake the role in support of electrical work completed by the team and other business units when needed. Assist internal stakeholders with EHS & Electrical compliance queries Co-ordinate Electrical compliance audits at site to identify good practices and gaps against the Organisational requirements Develop, and deliver training and awareness programs related to the role LET’S TALK ABOUT US
