PMC Lead Contracts Engineer

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently seeking expression of interest for a competent PMC Lead Contracts Engineer responsible for leading and delivering the overall cost activities of the PMC contract to Wood and client's satisfaction. <br><br>Please note that at this stage, applications for this role are invited as an Expression of Interest (EOI) whilst opportunities are being fully determined. <br><ul><li> Recruit and appoint / assign Senior Contract Engineers, Contracts Engineers and Contract Administrator to project teams during execution phase </li><li> Ensure the conformity of project specific tender / contract documents with department procedures and that the proposed conditions of contracts, form of tender, preambles and other commercial terms have been reviewed for consistency </li><li> Operate within approved budgets </li><li> Ensure completeness of projects' contracts records and co-ordinate statistical feedback and data gathering </li><li> Develop and maintain computerized system for gathering detailed cost information / data. Ensure contracts library is maintained </li><li> Participate in the selection and development of computer based systems and their applications and use in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the procurement department's activities </li><li> Promote policy for close technical co-operation with all departments in furthering both corporate and project specific objectives, including execution strategies </li><li> Review measures / procedures for effective claims avoidance during the stages for selection of contractors </li><li> Plan for success, monitor performance, take initiatives and, where necessary intervene to avoid mistakes and mitigate delays and unforeseen expense </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying </li><li> Minimum of 15 years' experience in the oil and gas industry </li><li> Previous experience of handling contract administration of major projects </li><li> Must have the ability to read and interpret contract terms, conditions and specifications, knowledge of quality control and assurance functions, methods of progress measurements and verification, together with variation management and the final account process </li><li> Prior PMC experience an asset </li><li> Prior Middle East experience an asset </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
