PMC Lead Systems Engineer

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently seeking expression of interest for a competent PMC Lead Systems Engineer responsible for leading and delivering the overall ICSS activities of the PMC contract to Wood and client's satisfaction. <br><br>Please note that at this stage, applications for this role are invited as an Expression of Interest (EOI) whilst opportunities are being fully determined. <br><br>Responsibilities <br><ul><li> Review and comment PFD / P&ID for any control / interlock /safety related representations </li><li> Participating in HAZOP / SIL review meeting. Implementing safety instrument design as per review reports </li><li> Implementing safety instrument design as per HAZOP / SIL review reports, performing the calculation of SIL definitions and preparing safety requirement specifications </li><li> Update of P&ID and instrument structure design for the SIL requirements </li><li> Preparation / review / development of specifications of DCS / SIS / F&G systems and any other PLC related systems </li><li> Preparation of system architecture for DCS, SIS, F&G, or any other control systems </li><li> Preparation of material requisitions for DCS / SIS / F&G systems, SCADA or any other control systems required for the project </li><li> Preparation of technical bid evaluations of suppliers' proposal for control systems </li><li> Preparation of the control system requirement for package units; supporting package specialists for MR, technical clarification and bid evaluations, document review and approval. Coordinating the interfaces between package unit control system and plant control systems </li><li> Review and approval of suppliers' hardware and software configuration designs </li><li> Review and approve vendor documents for incorporation into the design and co-ordination with other disciplines. Provide the input to other disciplines, such as electrical consumption for electrical power supply design, heat dissipation for ACMV design, weight and dimension for civil / architecture design </li><li> Ensure that all comments are consistent and are included in the drawings according to the applicable procedure </li><li> Preparation of cause and effect matrix, logic diagrams, control narratives and safety narratives, any other necessary control and safety systems related documents for the system configurations </li><li> Instruct and advise instrument design team for the control system hardware and cabling installation design, system cabinet earthing and grounding design </li><li> Instruct and advise instrument engineering team for the control system configuration data requirements, check data quality and manage the data exchanges with systems suppliers </li><li> Perform the calculation of SIL verifications and revise the instrument design structures where required </li><li> Review and check the all the activities and documents required for the lifecycles of the safety instrumented system </li><li> Design of control room layout </li><li> Review / comment / approval of supplier's test procedures, attend and manage FAT / IFAT / SAT and follow up with any punch list </li><li> Interface with clients, vendor's representatives and project field personnel. Attend and participate in coordination and progress meetings </li><li> Direct and/or participate in job site visits to collect or deliver design and engineering data </li><li> Preparation of instrument bill of quantity and subcontractor requisition for control system hardware installation work </li><li> Preparation of functional test procedures for loop testing when requested by client </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Bachelor degree in automation / control / process with a proven track record in conceptual studies, FEED, detailed engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) </li><li> Minimum 15 years of experience in the oil and gas onshore industry </li><li> Experience of DCS / SIS / F&G systems, PLC, SCADA and communication networks </li><li> Familiarity with conducting and implementing safety studies </li><li> Highly motivated, well organized, resourceful and proactive in engaging the client, project team and suppliers </li><li> Possess good interpersonal skills with sound written and oral communication skills </li><li> Flexible approach and able to work under pressure with a can-do attitude and a desire to win </li><li> Ability to promote an open and informal communication environment that aims at growing mutual trust and teamwork </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
