Job Description As a Senior IT Manager you are accountable for functional, operational, and/or program management. In addition, the Senior IT Manager manages simultaneous infrastructure projects, adapts and executes functional or departmental business plans and provides leadership to managers and senior professional staff. You may contribute to the development of strategies and assist others in achieving goals. The Conduent Senior IT Manager makes decisions based on resource availability and functional objectives and ensures service delivery expectations are being met or exceeded. Core tasks and responsibilities: Manages performance appraisals and pay reviews. Manages training for 3 or more employees. Manages hiring and termination actions. Participates in meetings and provides updates to non-technical business owners. Maintains records, works with other departments, and understands the impact of their job on the overall business. Validates deployment activities are deployed according to the highest industry standards. Collaborates with other technical towers to deliver business projects on time and within budget. Ensures that the technical solution aligns business requirements and technical constraints. Evaluates new products, services, and vendors. Weighs pros and cons, including the impact on the system and costs. Guides all aspects of the IT Operations solutions delivery outcomes. Provides leadership and mentorship to the team. Job requirements: Understands and applies concepts in the field of expertise. Has basic knowledge of other disciplines. Requires broad technical expertise and industry knowledge. Applies an in-depth understanding of how own discipline integrates with related areas. Impacts the results of own area in the short-term, with potential impact on related area. Guided by functional business plans. Sets priorities and allocates resources for related teams. Proactively manages resources to meet department goals. Resolves complex technical and operational problems. Uses clear communication skills to influence others, including senior leadership.
