PMC Project Controls Lead

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently looking for a <b>PMC Project Controls Lead </b>to strengthen our team. This is a Dubai based position with possible trip to Iraq if business needs. <br><br>Principal responsibilities include but not limited to: <br><ul><li> Advising project team on cost control, planning & Contract compliance </li><li> Tracking progress & reports against actual cost </li><li> Preparing any special progress reports, cost reports, and forecasts for team activities </li><li> Assisting in change management process with project leaders and contractors </li><li> Reviewing project cost estimates and schedules </li><li> Coordinating routine progress reporting </li><li> Reviewing project cost estimates and project budget tracking for compliance </li><li> Assist Cost Engineers to prepare and update weekly and monthly project cost reports. </li><li> Tracking and evaluating PO and subcontract cost reporting and invoicing </li><li> Participating in reporting on process and cost </li><li> Develop a suitable Work Breakdown Structure covering the project requirements / scope of works. </li><li> Develop, baseline, update, and maintain detailed project schedules for various phases of project execution including but not limited to design development, construction, pre-commissioning, and start-up. </li><li> Coordinate with client representatives, team members, contractors, subcontractors to consider all project requirements. </li><li> Provides training, mentoring and ongoing project controls guidance to project team members. </li><li> Establish and manage the invoicing procedure and supervise its proper implementation. </li><li> Support the development of the Project Controls team members. </li><li> Identify and share lessons learned to support continuous improvement of project performance and company operations </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Graduate Degree is preferred however alternative qualifications will be considered i.e. HNC / HND </li><li> Minimum of 10 years' relevant experience in the oil and gas industry with minimum 3 years similar experience. </li><li> Experience of working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams is strongly preferred. </li><li> Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage. </li></ul><br> Competencies <br><ul><li> Previous Oil & Gas industry experience. </li><li> Experience with detailed Engineering and Construction scheduling. </li><li> Experience with Concept Selection and FEED studies </li></ul><br> Interpersonal Skills <br><ul><li> Clear communicator with good interpersonal skills </li><li> An active listener with the ability to focus on customer requirements. </li><li> Fluent in both spoken and written English language </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
