Surveyor

<p>JOB DESCRIPTION:</p>

<ul>
<li>To ensure that the tasks as defined by the Party Chief are carried out in a correct and timely manner, informing all parties of the exact nature of each task, including vessel crew.</li>
<li>To ensure that all survey parameters, offsets, sensor calibration factors and the correct DGPS reference stations position solutions have been selected for the work area and also ensure that navigation is conducted to specification specification.</li>
<li>To monitor navigational stability and all data is being logged to the appropriate storage mediums.</li>
<li>To liaise with the representative in ensuring latest revision of applicable survey documentation is in use</li>
<li>To maintain survey related communication with other vessels involved with the operations.</li>
<li>To ensure the accurate and timely execution of the tasks assigned by the Party Chief.</li>
<li>To ensure that all systems and survey equipment are operational and calibrated, and that any recorders are set up and tuned to give optimum results.</li>
<li>To ensure that adequate navigation equipment spares are held onboard for field repairs.</li>
<li>To ensure that all paper records are correctly annotated, either automatically or by hand and that the rolls are labeled correctly for future processing.</li>
<li>To ensure the safe and timely mobilisation of the Survey Vessels, and the correct checking of all the onboard survey systems</li>
<li>To attend project briefings, daily meetings and safety meetings as appropriate</li>
</ul>

<p>JOB REQUIREMENTS:</p>

<ul>
<li>Minimum Degree in Surveying Geomatics or any equivalent discipline</li>
<li>Minimum 2 years relevant experience in survey offshore oil and gas industry</li>
<li>Excellent in Ms. Office and ability to quickly learn proprietary software</li>
<li>Must have good listening skills and an ability to implement instructions accordingly</li>
<li>Have a sound judgement and able to work independently</li>
<li>Experience in Navigation, AutoCAD/Mapping, Computer Science Field, GPS/GIS is added advantage</li>
<li>Extensive travel is required</li>
