Senior Engineer - Mechanical (Rotating)

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is looking for Senior Mechanical Rotating Engineer to strenghten our team in Abu Dhabi. <br><br>Responsibilities: <br><ul><li> This is a Home Office position based in Abu Dubai, but it may involve occasional visits to the Client offices and/or site in Iraq. Normal working time will be 48 hours per week </li><li> Reporting to the FRR Project Engineer, the candidate will assume sole responsibility for assigned mechanical engineering work scopes. </li><li> To carry out mechanical discipline work within a project team, supporting the project team for field development of oil & gas production facilities. </li><li> To plan, budget, organize, and control a segment of the mechanical engineering deliverables for the FRR Team. </li><li> To manage and respond to client requirements. </li><li> To provide Dubai based support in conducting surveys to help with the definition and development of the necessary engineering deliverables for identified FRR's (Facilities Risk Reviews) scopes. </li><li> To prepare FRR Mechanical deliverables. When not fully engaged on FRR activities, provide support for engineering and procurement activities that fall under the delivery teams. </li><li> To ensure that all work is completed without compromise to quality and is delivered according to the project schedule. </li><li> To provide direction and guidance on all mechanical engineering technical queries raised by either internal or external parties. </li><li> To liaise with the Client's Engineering, Operations and Maintenance staff as required to ensure a consistent approach to project completion. </li><li> To promote safe behaviour at all times. </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Sc./B.Eng./M.Sc.) </li><li> Membership of a recognised professional institute preferred </li><li> Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in the oil and gas industry </li><li> Minimum of 6 years proven capability in an engineering design company </li><li> Operational support / construction and commissioning experience. </li><li> Experience of working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams is strongly preferred. </li><li> Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage. </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
