Mechanical Lead Engineer - Life Sciences & Pharmaceutical

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br><b> Mechanical Lead Engineer - Life Sciences & Pharma, Ireland / UK Darlington Based </b><br><br> Wood are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Lead Engineer to join our new Life Sciences and Fine Chemicals project as the demand for our expertise continues to grow. <br><br>The role will be based at our customer facility in Ireland for the initial 12 month period, your home office will be Darlington, depending on the scope of the project there may be opportunities for the role duration to be extended. <br><br><b> As part of the opportunity you will be required to: </b><br><ul><li> Oversee the design to construction elements of the Mechanical and Process elements </li><li> Ensure Piping & Engineering standards are complied with throughout the installation </li><li> Ensure that all Mechanical components are procured and delivered as per design specifications </li><li> Answer RFIs's from the Mechanical Contractor </li><li> Provide all supporting Mechanical details for CQV team to prepare Qualification documentation </li><li> Ensure contractor turnover packs are right first time </li><li> Ensure systems are inspected and walked down and ready for handover to commissioning </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Mechanical / Process Engineering degree preferred </li><li> 5+ years experience in life science or fine chemicals production facilities </li><li> Demonstrate technical leadership and assurance services to our clients and project teams </li><li> Able to demonstrate management of changing deadlines and priorities </li><li> Previous background in Life Sciences & Fine Chemicals </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
