Legal Counsel Commercial Law – German Law (m/f/d)

Are you ready to be part of the change? You will be part of a growing Hub organization in the Legal department of Siemens Portugal. The Hub currently consists of 6 colleagues and serves various countries and businesses around the world. As this is still a new concept you have the exciting opportunity to shape this promising concept for the future. What role will you play? Your job will be very diverse and interesting and offers the opportunity to get an excellent overview of what Siemens does. The different incoming tasks are distributed amongst the Hub team members according to their level of experience and skills. You will be the direct point of contact for the business colleagues, and you can rely on a network of experienced Legal colleagues supporting you with your tasks. You will support the business in commercial transactions, from the tendering process to project execution. Requests include general commercial advise such as reviewing/ drafting/ negotiating contracts, preparing legal risk analyses for “Limits of Authority” internal approval processes and claim management. In addition, you will support development agreements, review non-disclosure agreements, software licensing agreements, framework contracts and other commercial requests in German and English language. We are looking for candidates on an ongoing basis. At the moment we focus exclusively on recruiting candidates with excellent German language skills and German law background because we have an increasing demand from the German market. How does that sound? Our perfect candidate must have… - Fluency in written and spoken German and English is a must (including ability to draft and negotiate contracts in both languages). Both languages need to be mastered at a C2 level. - Knowledge of German law is a must. You must have studied German law or you must have worked several years in German law in German language. - Experience of at least 3 years in the drafting/review/negotiation of contracts/agreements in a law firm or as part of an inhouse legal team. - Strong communication skills and excellent capabilities as a team player. - High awareness of client satisfaction and strong ability to work with different cultures. - Knowledge of Portuguese on a conversational level is a plus.
