Immediate full-time position for <b>Senior Data Engineer</b> role with a multinational energy service company.<br />
<br />
Based in <b>Perth,</b> the primary purpose of this role is to provide data management solution support and services delivered to our customers across Australia &amp; New Zealand.<br />
<br />
The successful candidate will have a passion for technology and will be comfortable mentoring junior staff members. You will also be passionate about building your own skills and developing your own career within a dynamic organization.<br />
<br />
<b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<ul>
<li>Design, development, testing, and operation of:
<ul>
<li>Frameworks for creating, testing, deploying and orchestrating data processing pipelines</li>
<li>Tools for querying, managing and monitoring data, including quality, security, lifecycle</li>
<li>Tools for managing and monitoring data systems and processes</li>
</ul>
</li>
</ul>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<ul>
<li>Building resilient and robust ETL pipelines and data migration workflows</li>
<li>Helping architect and design solutions, whilst collaboratively working in cross-functional teams.</li>
</ul>

<b>About you</b><br />
<br />
Within the context of the role described above, the ideal applicant will be someone who has some of the following key capabilities:</p>

<ul>
<li>Preferably Bachelor&
39;s Degree in Information Technology or related field</li>
<li>Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar Senior Data Engineer or Database Administrator position, ideally within a large, complex environment.</li>
<li>Experience with database technologies: SQLServer, Oracle and PostgreSQL</li>
<li>Experience in Python programming</li>
<li>Dashboard &amp; reporting experience (e.g., PowerBI &amp; Spotfire)</li>
<li>An interest in AI &amp; Machine Learning.</li>
</ul>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<ul>
<li>Previous experience in the Energy and Resource industries is a plus</li>
<li>Previous experience in Schlumberger software technologies (i.e., Petrel Studio, ProSource, etc.) is a plus</li>
<li>Preferably with experience in Data pipeline / ETL / orchestration development (Apache Airflow, AWS Glue, Google Cloud Data Fusion, Azure Data Factory) but not required</li>
<li>Preferably with experience in Query service and data exploration services such as AWS elastic search, Azure Data Explorer, BigQuery</li>
