Millwright - General Foreman - Onshore - US

<p><b>Overview / Responsibilities </b><br />

Wood is currently sourcing a Millwright General Foreman to join our team in Franklin, Virginia. You will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activity of workers, predominantly from the Millwright craft to ensure that work is done safely, correctly, and timely.<br />
<br />
<b>U.S Only </b> : <b> Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required. </b><br />

<b>Skills / Qualifications </b><br />
<br />
<b>Responsibilities: </b></p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<ul>
<li>Has worked as a Millwright for typically ten years, three of which should be as a Foreman</li>
<li>Have a detailed understanding of construction scheduling</li>
<li>Understand cost control and be able to implement successfully</li>
<li>Above average computer skills in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook</li>
<li>Follow oral and written directions</li>
<li>Comprehend blueprints, sketches and plans</li>
<li>Plan work and activities</li>
<li>Rate information using standards that can be measured or checked</li>
<li>Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy</li>
<li>Accurately apply mathematical skills</li>
<li>Compare and see differences in size, shape and form of lines, figures and objects</li>
<li>Reading and writing skills</li>
<li>Recognize and report safety hazards</li>
<li>Climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolds</li>
<li>Work at heights without fear</li>
<li>See well (naturally or with correction) and distinguish colors</li>
</ul>

<li>May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area</li>
<li>Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines</li>
<li>If required to operate a Wood owned, rented or leased motor vehicle, must qualify as an authorized driver</li>
<li>Must be willing to attend and successfully complete continued training applicable to the job as deemed necessary by Wood</li>
<li>Training may include Wood developed classes and third-party courses</li>
</ul>
