Success in the role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing? Within your first 6 months: Team up with one of our existing team members to get you started. You will be expected to become competent with VMware's Digital Workspace portfolio, use-cases, and value proposition. You will support your aligned Account Executive in pre-sales capacity and manage post-sale efforts with Account Executive assigned to country-specific accounts. Build relationships with key stake holders within the VMware business. You will need to orchestrate internal VMware resource and customer resources to ensure each engagement has a meaningful outcome. Develop and deliver onsite and remote product and solution presentations, demonstrations, and proof of concepts. Assist in identifying additional business development opportunities within the customers organization. Start discovering the diverse culture within VMware. Within your first 12 months: Analyse and understand customer workspace strategy. Lead and co-ordinate responses to RFI/Q/P from a technical perspective for the customer You will develop scenario-based solution demonstrations based upon real world examples Lead with your account executive counterpart Digital Workspace focussed opportunities, providing the technical justification and assisting with the business justification for the customer to invest in VMware technology. Focusing on problem solving and successful customer outcomes Migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to a modern management platform. Professional experience architecting/operating solutions built on VMWare Your strong customer facing and relationship building skills, coupled with your listening and questions-based selling skills help you see the “big picture” and develop innovative solutions to your customer’s goals. Presenting at industry events on VMware Digital Workspace solutions. Providing levels of technical account management to support the customer adoption of VMware technology. Orchestrating key conversations between customer stakeholders and VMware Product Management. Working with partners on RFI/Q/P’s that have been put out to market by the customer. Problem solving complex technical issues or bringing in subject matter support to assist. Through close collaboration with sales, professional services, and many other teams, a Solutions Engineer builds long term customer relationships, ensuring the customer meets their business challenges through adoption of VMware solutions. What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like? This position reports to the Manager of the Solution Engineering Team, a skilled leader who has several years of management experience and even more years of industry experience. The team consists of highly competent senior engineers over the CEMEA region. This role is dedicated to the primary country of Poland but may include travel to other parts of CEMEA to work with other Line-Of-Business areas within your customer.
