Senior Civil/Structural Engineer

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood (trading locally as WOOD KSS JSC) is currently recruiting for a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. <br><ul><li> Responsible for structural analysis, design, specification and services related to structures and foundations made of concrete and steel for pipe racks, pipe bridges, access stairs and platforms, buildings </li><li> Prepare and deliver training to National engineers </li><li> Check calculations and designs by National engineers and provide feedback to encourage them to improve their engineering skills </li><li> Provide input to Basis of Design, Design Reports and FEED studies </li><li> Prepare Job Packs and Material Requisitions. </li><li> Under general supervision, independently applies advanced engineering techniques, makes decisions on engineering problems and methods, and represents the organization in conferences to resolve important questions or to negotiate with key engineers and officials of other organizations </li><li> Provides technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers and is consulted extensively by associates and others </li><li> Provides mentoring and training to National engineers </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br>Technical Skills: <br><ul><li> STAADPro </li><li> MS Office </li></ul><br> Interpersonal Skills: <br><ul><li> Communication skills </li><li> Excellent English is essential </li></ul><br> Education: <br><ul><li> Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering Membership of a professional Insitutition preferred </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
