Production Technician I

<p>Our client is looking for a Production Tech I for a 12 month contract position, located in Fawley, South Coast of England.</p>

<p><strong>ROLE</strong></p>

<p>To safely carryout all aspects of aqueous and organic blending operations at the Fawley site whilst maintaining a high standard in all Process Support Technician roles.  The incumbent must also maintain the highest standards of safety, quality, housekeeping and environmental awareness.</p>

<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>

<ul>
<li>Maintain a tidy and safe working environment that meets the Zero Tolerance and Life Critical Procedures set by the company.</li>
<li>Be able and active in making recommendations for improvements to practices and procedures in the area of work.</li>
<li>To be aware of, understand and display all Quality and Safety procedures to ensure high quality product is produced, shipped and received by the customer.</li>
<li>To be responsible for the safe operation of blending units on the Fawley site, ensuring quality, housekeeping and environmental standards are maintained at the highest level in accordance to company policy.</li>
<li>Blending operations are: Organic: D-603, D-605 and D-707. Aqueous: R-602 and D-700.</li>

<p>To be capable of completing all Process Support Technician roles and responsibilities and supporting when required:</p>

<ul>
<li>Process Support Technician III: loading / unloading bulk raw materials and picking for Production.</li>
<li>Process Support Technician II: operation of road wash, drumming line and warehousing activities.</li>
<li>Process Support Technician I: unloading and storage of packaged raw materials, picking and preparation of customer orders.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>To be aware of the Permit to Work system on the Fawley site.</li>
<li>To be fully conversant in all safety/emergency procedures involving the Fawley site and know what to do in an incident/emergency.</li>
<li>To be fully conversant with and competent in all aspects of the site Emergency Preparedness Procedures, being a member of the response team.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>REQUIREMENTS</strong></p>

<ul>
<li>Numeracy and literacy skills are required, alongside a good attention to detail.</li>
<li>Previous experience in Plant Operations or Warehousing would be an advantage.</li>
<li>A team player who is keen to learn and able to adapt to changing scenarios while always maintaining and improving safety standards.</li>
<li>Forklift driving is a requirement and the specific training for this is provided.</li>
<li>An initial training programme will be given at the start of employment which will include Emergency Preparedness.</li>
<li>A full training package will be provided for all aspects of the role.  Knowledge will be assessed through testing on the relevant training package.  Competence gained through a period of operational experience and review.</li>
