Development Engineer - Mechanical

<p>Prepares, sustains and supports engineering outputs to ensure they meet; industry, customer and Weatherford requirements.</p>

<p><strong><u>DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES  </u></strong></p>

<ul>
<li>Ensures technical input specifications are documented clearly and any changes are managed formally.</li>
<li>Prepares product design packages in alignment with process, ensuring standards and requirements are met, maintained and sustained.</li>
<li>Ensures product data, documentation and associated toolboxes are clean, standardized and ready to support efficient supply chain and field operations.</li>
<li>Checks and approves product design packages and associated engineering data and documentation of others.</li>
<li>Executes engineering projects; on time, on budget with respect to input specification and planning.</li>
<li>Engages, collaborates and constructively contributes to the activities and deliverables of WFT manufacturing rooflines.</li>
<li>Proactively supports technology transfer and associated management of change (MoC) projects.</li>
<li>In collaboration with manufacturing functions, ensures product and project cost targets are met.</li>
<li>Delvelops and supports global manufacturing roofline team capability via the delivery of effective training and competency content associated with technology transfer of products new to the manufacturing roofline.</li>
<li>Provides hands on training of assembly & testing of new and existing products.</li>
<li>Dispositions NCR's, supports CPAR's and associated root cause analysis.</li>
<li>Prepares detailed technical reports and presentations as necessary to support internal and external customer communications and understanding of events.</li>
<li>Leads and attends cross functional and customer techncial reviews and execute necessary changes to support design for manufacture outcomes.</li>
<li>Proactively supports and develops the standardization of best practices and solutions.</li>
<li>Identifies any opportunities for improvement (OFI) regarding design, planning and associated processes.</li>
<li>Supports the development of operationaly running procedures, FMECA's, HAZOPS in support of associated products service delivery excellence.</li>
<li>Provide technical support to local team vendor management, control and access to lessons learned and intellectual property.</li>
<li>Support local team in opening up supply chain via new vendor engagement necessary to qualify new vendors.</li>

<p><strong><u>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE</u></strong></p>

<li>3+ years relevant industry experience.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of 3D CAD and associated engineering systems.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of mechanical engineering practices, standards, specifications and regulations particularly related to the oil and gas industry.</li>
<li>A bias for process discipline and an established track record of executing to plan and achieving results.</li>
<li>Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.</li>
<li>Able and willing to push through constraints in an engaging and collaborative manner.</li>
