Outbound Warehouse Team Leader

Our Distribution Centre located in Dandenong South Victoria is a new state of art facility, embracing 10,000M2 of storage capacity together with a new fleet of Materials Handling Equipment, and a full Green SITE facility, Servicing various industries covering every sector imaginable including; mining, hospitals, utilities, data centres and just about everything in-between. As Outbound Warehouse Team Leader reporting to the Distribution Centre Manager you’ll be responsible for the daily warehouse functions of all Outbound activities of the distribution centre to ensure customer orders and internal and external customer requirements are met. We’re appealing to the team leader with a track record of frontline management and someone who has a safety mind set. So, what exactly will you be doing? Supervising the day-to-day running of the Outbound department you will lead and coordinate a team including labour hire employees to ensure all work is completed on time and to expected standard. Leading the team to ensure performance targets are met you will hold daily SIM meetings, highlight barriers to ensure timely delivery and review present and future labour planning and utilization numbers to ensure required outputs are achievable. Leading the daily functions and process of a designated work area within the distribution centre Management of safety/incident when they occur and ensure corrective actions are identified and completed Ensure hazard and risks analysis are conducted and closed out Daily review of labour planning and utilisation to ensure required outputs are achievable within allocated budget forecast As the ideal applicant, you will have: Cert III or IIII in Front Line Management or relevant certificate/ experience Prior experience in Warehouse Team Leader or similar role Demonstrated background in people supervision in an operational environment Intermediate knowledge of ERP flows In-depth knowledge of and practical experience with Health Safety & Environment (HSE) practices and legislation Exposure to Continuous Improvement, Lean, Kaizen, 5S and Six Sigma tools
