To continue our success, we are looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our Tingalpa team on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract. The role requires the successful person to have previous experience in a similar manufacturing environment and qualifications in Science (Chemistry) or Food Science or related disciplines are preferable. The hours of work for this position will vary between day shift (6:30am-2:30pm) and afternoon shift (2:30pm-10:30pm) with some potential overtime on the weekends. You Will Be: Maintaining and improving quality and food safety systems. Performing analytical testing, analytical instrument calibration and maintenance Training and coaching the site team in QA processes and testing Generating and analysing reports Conducting internal audits Support with assistance with customer complaints investigation Ensure compliance with Hold and Abort systems Driving site-wide quality projects Trouble-shooting quality issues Comply with site GMP Policy to ensure quality and food safety of products manufactured are in compliance to specification. Qualifications/Requirements You Will Have: Qualifications in Science (Chemistry) or Food Science or related discipline (Preferable). Previous laboratory experience in similar manufacturing environment High level of Technical skills in the areas of instrumentation and/or chemistry High level of Mechanical Reasoning Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively within a team environment. High levels of self-management and initiative. Ability to plan and prioritise. Ability to set and achieve targets.
