Project Director

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced and driven Project Director based in our Brisbane office, to be responsible for the over successful brownfield project portfolio delivery and commercial execution of a diverse EPC projects portfolio. <br><br><b> Responsibilities </b><br><ul><li> Single point accountability for the operational and commercial delivery and development of the contract in line with agreed business plans and financial objectives </li><li> Actively promote excellence in health and safety and set clear H&S expectations </li><li> Deliver services including technical, project, administrative, trades labour and support functions </li><li> Demonstrate excellent leadership and stakeholder communications skills such that transformational change is seamlessly delivered in a timely fashion </li><li> Select, train, develop and motivate staff to support the project organisation within the constraints of specific objectives, budgets and target dates. Attract, develop and retain resources for the contract, and the smooth operation of the assignment team </li><li> Ensure an active succession planning programme is in place for key positions </li><li> Management and reporting of the contract delivery performance and budgets </li><li> Identification of policies and strategies that will deliver business improvements and initiate business improvement projects </li><li> Contract lead for communication with workforce on IR and Landco issues </li><li> Prepare and submit reports to management on current contract status and recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness </li><li> Demonstrate continuous improvement in contract performance through internal and external benchmarking </li></ul><br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Proven ability to build and manage project teams and delight clients. </li><li> Experience in related Project Director roles coupled with prior experience in directly managing a portfolio projects is required </li><li> PNG and Oil and Gas experience preferred </li><li> Professional engineering qualification or equivalent </li><li> Extensive knowledge of OH&S, environment and industrial relations regulations and commitment to compliance </li><li> Ability to work independently and be results oriented, takes ownership, responsibility and full accountability for the group </li><li> Demonstrated organisational skills with ability to effectively manage within tight time frames. </li><li> Excellent communication capabilities with the ability to present, inform, and persuade at all levels </li><li> Able to understand the clients' drivers and outcomes that result in long-term, sustainable and profitable relationships </li><li> Ability to identify, foster and develop staff for promotion and/or transfer within the organisation </li><li> Good time management skills and the ability to prioritize, with an ability to delegate appropriately </li><li> Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships based on trust and confidence </li><li> Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to be a team player is essential </li><li> A thorough understanding of strategic and change management with the ability to translate this into appropriate goals, methodologies and strategies for implementation <br> </li></ul><br> Candidates must have full work rights in Australia to be considered for this role. <br><br>If you're an experienced Project Director, ready for your next project, then we are keen to hear from you today. <br><br>Apply now and take the next step in your career with this exciting opportunity! <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
