Senior Electrical Engineer

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to strengthen our team in Dubai with possible trips in Iraq. <br><br><b> Objective </b><br><ul><li> Contributing to delivery of Engineering excellence through: </li><li> Executing assigned scopes of work. </li><li> Supporting and supervising task delegation to team. </li><li> Providing discipline support to the business. </li></ul><br><b> Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities </b><br><br> People:<br> <br><ul><li> Coaching and mentoring as delegated. </li><li> Develop training program for graduates. </li><li> Provide technical presentations (lunch & learn) sessions to co-workers on knowledge sharing basis. </li></ul><br> <b>Process Ownership:</b> <br><ul><li> Demonstrate understanding of and work to discipline specific procedures. </li></ul><br><b> Subject Matter Expertise: </b><br><ul><li> Technically competent in own discipline and actively maintains own competence according to standards and pursues continuous professional development. </li><li> Provide discipline support to the business. </li><li> Ensure self-awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments and promote to direct reports. </li><li> Provide discipline input to scope definition and execution. </li></ul><br><b> General: </b><br><ul><li> Deputising for Lead as required. </li><li> Supporting and supervising tasks delegated to direct reports. </li><li> Executing assigned personal objectives. </li><li> Management of third-party suppliers in the execution of Engineering delivery. </li><li> Carry out survey and answer site queries. </li><li> Review and check the work of design team. </li><li> Ensure work is completed on Schedule and within budget. </li><li> Assist in the preparation of CTR's and man-hour estimates. </li><li> Attend meetings as and when required. </li><li> Assist procurement and project engineering personnel in the procurement of equipment and materials. </li><li>Liaise with other disciplines on design, construction, fabrication and commissioning issues.</li></ul><br><br><b>Working Relationship</b> <br><br><b> Internal: </b><br><ul><li> Establish and maintain effective working relationships and communicate across the project / contract interfaces. </li><li> Engage with inter-discipline community. </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><b> Qu alifications: </b><br><ul><li> Minimum Qualifications: </li><li> BSc, BEng or equivalent. </li></ul><br><br><b> Minimum Experience: </b><br><ul><li> 12 year of relevant experience in oil & gas industry. </li></ul><br><b> Role-Specific Skills: </b><br><ul><li> Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Electrical engineering design and analysis. </li><li> Thorough awareness of relevant international codes and standards. </li><li> <b>Experience in FEED, Brownfield, Upstream Oil</b> </li><li> Experience in Vendor package management </li><li> Experience of the application of HAZOP, HAZID and e-HAZOP to Electrical design. </li><li> Experience with Electrical design for prefabricated modular packaged equipment. </li><li> Previous experience of working in the Middle East/Iraq would be an advantage. </li><li> Intellectually capable, can substantiate the ability to apply theory in a practical context. </li><li> Familiar with the use of industry standards and codes. </li><li> Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. </li><li> Good Oral and Communication skills. </li><li> Must have good interpersonal skills/team player. </li><li> Proficient in the use of ETAP, Navisworks, Lighting calculation Software (Dialux etc.) and MS-OFFICE </li><li> Able to demonstrate team working skills. </li><li> Flexible with a can-do attitude. </li></ul><br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
