Mechanical Integrity Engineer

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood has an excellent opportunity for an experienced <b>Mechanical Integrity Engineer </b>to join our Operations business in Perth or Adelaide. This is a long-term secondment opportunity with a key client. <br><br>Wood's Operations APAC (West) business delivers brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation, and technical services to the Oil & Gas sector and enjoys long-term partnerships with the region's most prominent producers located in Western Australia, Northern Territory, Kazakhstan, and Sakhalin. <br><br>You will be responsible for the preservation, inspection, maintenance, and statutory compliance of all pressure equipment during the transition and development of a key client's LNG project. Your responsibilities include: <br><br><b> Responsibilities: </b><br><ul><li> Develop, implement, and execute pressure equipment preservation and inspection strategies throughout the transition and recommissioning period. </li><li> Actively contribute to the delivery of cost reduction efficiencies and value creation strategies through the adoption of novel methodologies. </li><li> Mitigate or minimise risk to the business through proactive application of discipline-specific learning and processes aligned to the Project strategy. </li><li> Effective and timely collaboration with internal and external stakeholders as required. </li><li> Facilitation and timely contribution to the integrity engineering discipline, including fitness for service assessments (API 579) and RBI best practices including API RP 580 and RP 581. </li><li> Strong influencing, communication, and interpersonal skills. </li><li> Demonstrably proficient in mentoring and coaching discipline-specific engineers in both the operational and corporate environment. </li></ul><br> At Wood you will join an inclusive and diverse global community of inquisitive minds and recognised industry innovators, partnering to create new possibilities. <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><b>Only candidates with full work rights for the Australian location will be considered.</b> <br><br>Ideally, you will be a qualified engineer with a Process / Mechanical / Materials Engineering degree from a recognised institution OR have substantial industry experience and ability, and have: <br><ul><li> Extensive experience as an Integrity Engineer with 5+ years in the Australian O&G sector OR LNG Maintenance operations experience </li><li> Demonstrable working knowledge of the requirements, limitations, nuances, and practical application of codes / standards associated with Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) programmes </li><li> Familiar with metallic and non-metallic materials selection and the li mitations thereof; </li><li> Familiar with surface coating selection, testing, application, failure analysis and the limitations thereof; </li><li> Significant experience with CMMS.
