Mechanical Fitter

<p><b>Overview / Responsibilities </b><br />

Wood has a collaborative maintenance contract with Seqwater to deliver leading maintenance services in the water industry. These projects cover South East Queensland across multiple locations.<br />
<br />
We are currently seeking <b>Mechanical Fitter</b> to support our long-term water maintenance partnership. This permanent role is based at Seqwater&
39;s Mt. Crosby Water Treatment Plant or Hinze Dam WTP and is focused on <b>Critical Spares </b>and <b>Work Pack Development.</b> We are looking for a candidate who is ideally trade qualified, with experience in project or asset maintenance environments, with a strong commitment to safety.<br />

We will only consider applications from Australian citizens or those with the required permit/VISA for this region.<br />
<br />
<b>Experience</b></p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<ul>
<li>Ability to provide mechanical services in relation to the operation, maintenance, refurbishment and augmentation of Seqwater&
39;s mechanical and civil assets across water treatment plants, dams and supply systems</li>
<li>Provide technical advice and support</li>
<li>Perform routine asset inspections and maintenance activities in accordance with the relevant job plans and record details of maintenance activities into the asset management system</li>
<li>Experience with data assessment, ordering spares and recording <b>(Microsoft Excel).</b></li>

<li>Demonstrable strong commitment to safety</li>
<li>Enjoy working in a team environment and self-motivated</li>
<li>Ability to work autonomously when required, while taking ownership of the role</li>
<li>The successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing, and be able to supply two recent referees who can be contacted by phone.</li>

<li>Relevant trade certificate</li>
<li>Maintenance and sustaining capital asset experience, preferably within utilities or process plant environment</li>
<li>Current tickets desirable, but not essential: Confined Space and Working at Heights, First Aid, LVR &amp; CPR, Breathing Apparatus and Gas Test Atmosphere</li>
<li>Construction White Card or equivalent.</li>
</ul>
