Production / Optimization Engineer

<p><strong><u>Objective</u></strong></p>

<p>Maximize value of company assets by efficiently managing Production Operations, Projects and Field Personnel.  Main focus would be on gas lift and rod pump optimization, compression troubleshooting, back-pressure debottlenecking to reduce failures/downtime and increase efficiency.</p>

<p><strong><u>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</u></strong></p>

<p> </p>

<ul>
<li>Involved in the monitoring, diagnosing and implementation of optimization processes in the operation of gas lift and rod pump artificial lift systems.</li>
<li>Responsible for scheduling and follow-up of the maintenance of gas lift compression.</li>
<li>Responsible for the implementation of approved back-pressure debottlenecking projects necessary to optimize well performance.</li>
<li>Involved in the installation of new rod and pump installations and changes made to previous systems.</li>
<li>Involved in the diagnosing of rod pump artificial lift system and failure analysis.</li>
<li>Responsible for ensuring pumping units are maintained and operating as designed within vendor specifications.</li>
<li>Coordinates daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary due to weather, supply, delivery and personnel.</li>
<li>Delegating individual responsibilities and projects to crew members and contractors to get projects completed on time and within budget restraints.</li>
<li>Providing adequate resources and staffing to meet project schedules, laws, regulations, best practices and safety needs.</li>
<li>Emphasizing safe use of tools, machinery and equipment while providing oversight to maintain a safe environment according to HSE regulations and procedures</li>
<li>Developing and managing project budgets and quality standards for all sites.</li>
<li>Resolving conflicts or miscommunications quickly and amicably.</li>
<li>Regularly reporting project status and cost expenditures to supervisors, site engineers and other company officials.</li>
<li>If necessary, recruiting, hiring, training, managing and mentoring employees and contractors.</li>

<p>Reports directly to the Production Superintendent</p>

<p>Exercises supervision of contract personnel, Field personnel and support staff</p>

<p><strong><u>Accountability</u></strong></p>

<p> </p>

<ul>
<li>Accountable to optimize gas lift compressor runtime and operation</li>
<li>Work directly with engineering to make changes to gas lift injection pressures and volumes to optimize production</li>
<li>Work directly with engineering to document pressure restrictions that present debottlenecking opportunities</li>
<li>Work with construction to redesign and modify bottlenecks in the production path</li>
<li>Work with the Production Engineer to optimize rod pump systems.</li>
<li>Accountable for preventing the failures of surface pumping equipment.</li>
