<b>Job Description</b><br />
<br />
We are seeking a Carbon Capture Utilization &amp; Sequestration (CCUS) Specialist Engineer to join the Hydrogren Systems Engineering Division (HSED) which is part of the Energy Transition Engineering Department (ETED). The HSED is responsible for providing technologies, process engineering expertise, support and consultation in the area of low carbon (blue/green) hydrogen, renewables, and carbon capture utilization and storage. The CCUS Specialist Engineer will provide specific technical expertise as well as support and consult in specific areas of CCUS.<br />

The CCUS Specialist Engineer will coordinate and lead advanced techno-economic studies to plan, develop, and implement CCUS projects within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This role will require multidisciplinary engineering coordination and team work to provide expert technical insights on CCUS related matters<br />
<br />
<b>Duties &amp; Responsibilities</b><br />
<br />
Working closely with operations personnel to understand their needs, and produce designs and services to meet these expectations<br />
Review existing systems to identify improvement opportunities, potential problems, and remedies to existing problems, and conduct continuous improvement studies<br />
Provides capital and operations program leadership by originating and carrying out initiatives to improve performance, system optimization, and increase revenue to achieve best in class in business.<br />
Lead the development of company standards and guidelines for CCS projects in Saudi Arabia.<br />
Develop the conceptual design for scoping of new projects, review and approve the engineering calculations and design packages by engineering contractors<br />
Deliver presentations to international audiences of experts and publish technical papers<br />
Conduct simulations studies using Saudi Aramco licensed process simulation software packages such as HYSYS.<br />
Utilize process models for new and existing facilities and assess ability of the model to deliver representative results.<br />
Mentor junior engineers, develop required training materials, and deliver in-house training courses<br />
Work independently and create a positive work environment<br />
Act as a technical advisor and provide timely operationaal support to Saudi Aramco&
39;s organizations.<br />
Demonstrate excellent technical writing and presentation skills<br />
Evaluate vendors/contractors capabilities to offer their services to Saudi Aramco<br />
Demonstrate flexibility to take up special assignments at different organizations<br />
Coordinate and lead complex techno-economic studies related to the planning, development, and implementation of CCS projects.<br />
Technical review and qualification of CO2 capture and sequestration technologies.<br />
Support the development of the company&
39;s CO2 capture and sequestration strategy/roadmap.<br />
Provide management with up-to-date market trends, technologies, and new developments related to the CCS industry.<br />
<br />
<b>Minimum Requirements</b></p>

<ul>
<li>Bachelor&
39;s degree in Chemical, Petroleum, or Mechanical Engineering.</li>
<li>Expert understanding of the various stages of CCS processes and related technologies, including, capture processes and technologies (e.g. chemical absorption, physical separation), CO2 conditioning and transport mechanisms/alternatives and its associated economic considerations, CO2 storage mechanisms/alternatives, and the CO2 utilization application.</li>
<li>Minimum 10 years&
39; related experience, with exposure to the CCS value chain, including experience in CO2 storage projects and a strong understanding of geological and engineering considerations, as well as the various trapping mechanisms, either in saline formations and/or depleted oil and gas reservoirs.</li>
<li>Familiar with the various cost driver across the entire CCS value chain.</li>
