Lead Partner Solutions Engineer

As a Partner Solutions Engineer within the Nordic Solutions Engineering team, you have a unique opportunity to inspire, grow and lead our technical partner initiatives. You will be a key pillar in the bridge between a technical solution and the positive business outcome for our customers and partners, understanding VMware’s key priorities and how we best create synergies with both existing and potential new partners. Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing? • The key to success will be to firstly: o Becoming the person of reference for all the Nordics Partner Solution Engineering initiatives o Understanding and sharing our vision and priorities as a company o Understanding our current partners strength and development opportunities o Identifying missing capabilities, competencies and coverage for key VMware solutions o Actively involve local SE teams for mutual continuous updates, alignment, trust and scale • After that it will be: o Identifying new partners who could help accelerate key VMware priorities o Drive community initiatives branding VMware within SaaS and subscription o Co-develop cross BU solutions addressing customer demand o Maintain and grow your professional network The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis? • Continuously work with our key partners to understand key priorities for both VMware and the partner • Drive and run technical initiatives, that could be, but are not limited to, enable partners to drive assessments, align on technical enablement, map technical partner leads to technical BU leads • Identify, inspire and develop new SaaS and subscription focused partners • You will be the trusted technical lead for our Nordic partners, driving technical communities and the VMware brand What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like? The role will be reporting into the Nordic Solutions Engineering Manager Rasmus Rask Eilersen. Rasmus comes with extensive experience in the industry and is leading the Nordics Solution Engineering team with an experienced SE managers managing Sweden, Finland, Baltics and Norway, while the ICs in Denmark is reporting directly to Rasmus.
