Human Resources Manager

As a member of the senior leadership team, the HR Manager is responsible for the achievement of organizational goals through the management of HR issues, line management support and the implementation of policies and procedures for the Vehicle Group (VG) and Corporate team of around 50 in Australia. Reporting to the Business Unit Manager, this hands-on role is the link between the organisation’s management and its employees. Essential job tasks include but are not limited to: Design and execute the Human Resources portion of the Strategic Business Plan as it relates to VG and Australia including growth, cost out and cultural change plans Direct the formulation and implementation of HR programs, policies and practices in accordance with VG Australia business objectives. Formulate strategies to build organizational capabilities and implement process for the development of leadership pipeline in Australia and serve as functional driver and process owner of Eaton succession planning process at country level Drive core HR process excellence in leadership development, performance management, staffing, reward & recognition, employee engagement, and communications Support and guide utilisation of the new performance management tool using SuccessFactors Direct the recruitment, selection and placement of employees in a timely and cost-effective manner with emphasis on promoting a diverse workforce. This involves working with regional talent acquisition team and partnering with managers to assess, select and recruit talent. Manage the compensation & reward process including job grading, merit and variable pay plans according to Eaton’s pay philosophy, strategy and policy. Measure and improve the effectiveness of HR initiatives and programs at country level Facilitate the promotion and implementation of Eaton Global Ethics policy and Ethics conducts Actively support and drive the Eaton philosophies and work practices and develop progressive employee relations practices to enhance productivity, efficiency and employee engagement. Qualifications The selected candidate will have the following: A minimum of 5 years senior Human Resource Management R working experience including recruiting, training & employee relationship management Degree in Human Resources, Business with HR major or related field Demonstrated success working in a matrix organization with deep understanding of organization dynamics. Interpersonal skills to positively build effective working relationships, drive engagement, motivate staff and influence culture. Strong business partnership and change management exposure High energy, strong sense of urgency, self-motivated and results oriented with process orientation dedicated to continuous improvement We make what matters work.
