Condition Monitoring Technician (Mining)

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is recruiting for Condition Monitoring Technicians to join our Rotating Equipment and Reliability team based in Perth. <br><br>At Wood we are always looking to grow our teams with talented people, just like you. As a result, we have shared this opportunity with you in the hope it is a role you would consider. <br><br>We are actively seeking to fill site-based roles to support activities in the Mining sector across Western Australia. These assignments have an expected roster rotation or 8 days on / 6 days off with a back-to-back colleague. VCAT1 Certification (or working toward certification) is essential for this role; TCAT, LCAT, VCAT2 / VCAT3 certification is highly regarded. <br><ul><li> Manage, implement, and improve vibration, lubrication and thermography based predictive maintenance programs - including on-site data collection, analysis, and determination of recommendations for various types of mining rotating equipment. </li><li> Identify opportunities to improve client plant reliability, availability and/or performance, collaborating with clients to turn to their advantage </li><li> Provide support and mentoring for colleagues and clients who are in the condition monitoring and reliability space with predictive and preventive maintenance best practices </li><li> Execute maintenance strategies and programs for clients whilst seeking opportunities to improve practices utilising the latest technologies in wireless sensors and data analytics. </li><li> Assist with investigations by providing technical input to reliability teams for equipment failures and troubleshooting projects </li><li> Support career developing work scopes such as Motion Amplification, wireless sensor installation and setup, machine laser alignments, in-situ dynamic balancing and Thermographic imaging </li><li> Regularly communicate with your Wood supervisor to feedback site updates and opportunities to improve or further our engagement </li></ul><br> Please note we can only accept applications from Australian citizens or those holding a Permanent Residency (PR) visa who do not require company sponsorship to work lawfully in Australia. Applicants must currently be residing in Western Australia. <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br>It takes a range of individuals to make up a diverse and flexible technical team.
