Painting Foreman

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is recruiting Painting Foreman - Offshore, an exciting & challenging role on the BSP Offshore Rejuvenation project. <br><br><ul><li> To ensure Permits to Work are obtained and understood prior to commencement of any work </li><li> Ensure all activities are completed in a safe competent manner in line with Wood Working Procedures </li><li> Supervise, motivate the Offshore tradesmen to ensure all work is completed in a safe and timely manner </li><li> Coordinates with Discipline Engineers, Planners, Materials Controller to undertake efficient, safe completion of work scope </li><li> Must be familiar with and competent in the use of the following: - </li><li> Wet Blast Units & Accu Strip Units </li><li> Dry Blast Pots & HP / LP Jetting Units </li><li> Diesel Driven Compressors </li><li> Airless / Conventional Spray Units </li><li> Power Tools (Air Driven) </li><li> Temporary Suspended Access Systems </li><li> Must be conversant with all surface preparation / coating methods as detailed in client's specification </li><li> Must be competent in the use of Abrasive Wheels and conversant with the Regulations / Standards </li><li> Must be conversant with the Electrical Safety Specifications </li><li> To assist in the planning and Quality Control of work ensuring high standards of productivity and performance </li><li> Maintain all paperwork and administration systems relating to scaffold work </li><li> Be aware of and practice fully the requirement for total safety attitude in all operation, particularly in the scope of maintenance woks taking place in a production environment </li><li> Be prepared to assist all other trades within his capability in the performance of operations being carried out be they construction or maintenance </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><b> Qualifications / Training </b><br><br>Essential: <br><ul><li> No trade training requirements </li><li> Internal Trade Test </li><li> Technical Interview </li></ul><br><br><b> Experience </b><br><br>Essential: <br><br><ul><li> Must be at least a High School graduate </li><li> 5 years' experience in a foreman's capacity </li><li> Conversant with all relevant standards, specifications </li><li> Minimum 3 - years offshore experience </li><li> Experienced painter / blaster / sprayer on construction and maintenance projects or a proven trade experience in a similar environment </li><li> Offshore Survival course </li><li> Internal Trade Test </li></ul><br><b> Competencies - technical </b><br><ul><li> Must be conversant with all surface preparation / coating methods as detailed in client's specification </li><li> To assist in the planning and Quality Control of work ensuring high standards of productivity and performance </li><li> Maintain all paperwork and administration systems relating to scaffold work </li><li> Be aware of and practice fully the requirement for total safety attitude in all operation, particularly in the scope of maintenance woks taking place in a production environment </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
