<div class="mds-edited-text mds-font-body-copy-bulk"><p>Our client, an East Sussex-based 6^th Form College, is looking for Adult Education Tutors to teach courses in Flower Arranging and Sign Language.</p>
<p><strong>Adult Education Tutors </strong></p>
<p><strong>Bexhill-on-Sea, TN40 2JG</strong></p>
<p><strong>Part-time, Temporary</strong></p>
<p><strong>Salary £17.35 per hour (including holiday pay)</strong></p>
<p>Our client is a dedicated 6^th form College with a long history of academic excellence. As part of their adult education programme, they are looking to provide adult recreational courses in the subjects of <strong>Sign Language</strong> and <strong>Flower Arranging</strong>.</p>
<p>These classes usually run 2 hours per week, for 8 weeks during term time.</p>
<ul>
<li>Flower Arranging – Tuesdays 6.30-8.30pm.</li>
<li>Sign Language – Flexible/Daytime.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>As an Adult Education Tutor, you will:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Plan an enjoyable recreational course in your chosen area.</li>
<li>Use a range of appropriate teaching strategies to ensure that the students are enjoying their learning experience. </li>
<li>Make effective use of resources and learning technology to deliver excellent teaching and learning opportunities. </li>
<li>Create a purposeful, positive, supportive and enjoyable teaching environment. </li>
<li>Prepare a course plan for the class, including any materials needed for teaching and learning. </li>
<li>Respond to student feedback by adapting approaches to teaching and learning to meet student needs and interests. </li>
<li>Demonstrate effectiveness by achieving positive feedback and high levels of student retention. </li>
<li>Keep accurate records as required, including student attendance in lessons.</li>
<li>Attend college events to promote adult courses.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>The ideal </strong><strong>Adult Education Tutor </strong><strong>will:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Be in possession of a qualification in the subject area being taught and/or have detailed knowledge and understanding of their subject.</li>
<li>Be qualified to teach or be experienced in teaching tutoring or mentoring.</li>
<li>Be able to plan and manage effective, high-quality lessons. </li>
<li>Be aware of the issues relating to teaching and learning in further education.</li>
</ul>
<p>In addition to the above, our client is interested in individuals who:</p>

<li>Have a positive approach to their work.</li>
</ul>
<p>The successful candidates will be required to possess an enhanced DBS certificate to be employed at the College.</p>
