The school cater for children with Autism, Asperger's, OCD and SEMH, all through positive and holistic, therapeutic models. Many of the students have trauma, SEN, behavioural challenges as well as adjacent mental health challenges. This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate or experienced teaching assistant to develop their experience with Special Educational Needs and Behavioural Needs. A graduate with a degree graded 2:2 or above is ideal for this role and some previous experience working with SEN children is desirable. If you are sincere and know your objectives, all education and training will be provided.</p><p>The position will be working 1:1 with pupils with Autism, verbal and nonverbal and Challenging Behaviour in the school. The context of the role depends on the context of the class, which is incredibly diverse within the school. The Learning Support Assistant will have the opportunity to work closely with children who have mental health difficulties, display challenging behaviour and have suffered significant traumas.
