<div class="mds-edited-text mds-font-body-copy-bulk"><p>Well known service provider requires an experienced Press Officer to join their team for a 12 month contract.   You will be proactively targeting key media to raise corporate profile and reactively responding to media and public enquiries to protect reputation. </p>
<p>Specific responsibilities include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Proactively promote regional media campaigns and gain coverage as well as reactive reputation management</li>
<li>Develop and maintain strong regional media relationships</li>
<li>Produce a content calendar and copy for press, social media and website</li>
<li>Working with wider corporate communications team to develop stories and promote brand</li>
<li>Be a part of the out of hours on call press team rota</li>
</ul>
<p>Ideally looking for a former journalist turned communications professional who has excellent knowledge of North West issues, media and key political stakeholders.  This is a contract role so need to have notice period of one month.  The organisation operates flexible working but you will be required to come in to the office around business need and within Government guidelines.</p>
