Business Excellence Manager

Leads the development and implementation of procedures and protocols that ensure the business' quality standards are met. Ensures that recommendations on corrective actions are consistent with the business' standard operating procedures and drafts revisions to procedures. Works with operations, laboratory, engineering, and maintenance managers and staff to develop, evaluate and implement action plans which maintain or improve product and process quality. Guides project teams in using tools, initiating change, and applying sound process improvement methodology. Assists in the application of appropriate controls to monitor and maintain results and develop continuous improvement. Improves adherence to quality standards by conducting, analyzing and resolving incident reviews and deviation investigations. Recommends improvements in the business' quality standards by developing methods which optimal and efficiently ensure adherence to those standards. Prepares and leads departmental budget. Responsible for establishment and implementation of standard processes that ensure quality targets are achieved or exceeded. At this level, the position has a greater degree of impact on the business results and typically, responsibility for leading a group of professionals. Qualifications Completed Bachelor in Engineering. An academic degree such as Master in Science or Administration, preferably. 5 to 7 years of experience. Must possess knowledge and experience in Continuous Improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean, DMAIIC, etc.). The candidate must be capable of demonstrating leadership skills, display of lean manufacturing and manufacturing or transactional re-engineering processes. His/her experience must include Six Sigma and lean manufacturing methodologies, project management and a solid understanding of inter-functional relations. Must be capable of communicating, either orally or by writing, about the improvements that projects that have had a great impact to the business have had. Organized, analytical while solving problems. Must be familiarized with the FDA, GMP and ISO requirements. Wide knowledge in computer packages such as MS Office, Visio, must possess demonstrated capacity in project management. Must possess wide strong knowledge and understanding of production and quality control techniques such as CFM, JIT, TQM, etc. Possess the skill of analyzing the market requirements and growth opportunities. Have ability to understand and translate customer needs. Knowledge of the business from start to finish of the supply chain. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES and AFFILIATIONS Preferably, to be certified as Lean Green Belt or Black Belt and Six Sigma as Green Belt and Black Belt. Strong knowledge of computer packages such as Excel, Access and PowerPoint, AutoCad and other similar software. Must possess proven analytical capacity. Knowledge about finances. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, orally and in writing. Bilingual, English – Spanish. Good interpersonal relations and ease of communication. Demonstrate capacity to direct other people. Ability to work in a multicultural environment. Must understand and translate the needs of the client. Proven knowledge of change management (Change in the integration process). Assertive at influencing and collaboration abilities and team work. Must possess a tangible record of improvements.
