PMC Lead Mechanical Engineer - Static

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently looking for a <b>PMC Lead Mechanical Engineer- Static</b> to strengthen our team. This is a Home Office position based in Dubai, but it may involve occasional visits to the Client offices and/or site in Iraq. <br><ul><li> Very strong technical knowledge in Static & Packaged Equipment's (i.e., Vessel, Heat Exchangers, Columns, Tanks, Flares, Incinerators, Desalters, dehydration, fired heaters, TEG, etc.,) </li><li> Experience in PMC roles as Lead Static & Package Equipment Engineer. </li><li> Ability to check, validate & approve the Peer, Vendor and Sub-Contractor documents. </li><li> Excellent Awareness and usage of Discipline codes & standards </li><li> Preparation of MDS, Specification, Calculations, Requisitions of TBE static & packaged equipment's. </li><li> Knowledge of Construction & Commissioning requirements of Static Equipment's & Packages. </li><li> Knowledge of Inspection & Testing requirements of Static & Packaged Equipment's. </li><li> Review of Inter discipline documents </li><li> Providing support to site construction & commissioning team. </li><li> Other General Engineering & Project support activities </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br>Minimum Qualifications <br><ul><li> BSc / BEng in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent professional qualification with extensive relevant experience. </li><li> Membership of a recognized professional institute is preferred </li></ul><br> Minimum Experience <br><ul><li> 15+ years of relevant experience in the oil & gas industry </li><li> Minimum of 6 years experience in similar role in Operating Company </li><li> PMC experience required </li><li> Middle east upstream oil & gas experience is must. </li><li> Knowledge of Construction & Commissioning requirements of Static Equipment's & Packages. </li><li> Knowledge of Inspection & Testing requirements of Static & Packaged Equipment's. </li><li> Thorough knowledge and understanding of the engineering design and analysis. </li><li> Thorough awareness of relevant international codes and standards. </li><li> Experience of the application of HAZOP, HAZID and e-HAZOP to design. </li><li> Experience with design for prefabricated modular packaged equipment. </li><li> Previous experience of working in the Middle East/Iraq would be an advantage. </li><li> Intellectually capable, can substantiate the ability to apply theory in a practical context. </li><li> Familiar with the use of industry standards and codes. </li><li> Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. </li><li> Good Oral and Communication skills. </li><li> Must have good interpersonal skills/team player. </li><li> Proficient in the use of PVElite, AutoCAD and MS-OFFICE </li><li> Able to demonstrate team working skills. </li><li> Flexible with a can-do attitude. </li><li> Able to travel to Basra, Iraq as required. </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
