Clinical Supervisor I (Licensed Practical Nurse/LPN) 85th Street - Dermatology

Waldman Department of Dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is dedicated to delivering superior, comprehensive dermatologic care that exceeds patient expectations, and to advancing the science of dermatology through research and education.</p><p>From preparing the next generation of leaders, to providing cutting-edge and cost-effective treatment, the Department of Dermatology thrives on a passion to improve the lives of patients through science.</p><p>The Clinical Supervisor I is a licensed health care professional or clinician who oversees and mentors less experienced clinical staff, assigns work, maintains schedules and assists the Practice Manager and other leadership in the implementation of policies, workflows and processes.</p><br><b>Responsibilities</b><ul><li>Oversees clinical staff in assigned area, and assists department management in implementation of day-to-day activities and processes.</li><li>Responsible for training staff on clinical office protocols and techniques.</li><li>Responsible for documentation and maintaining patient immunization records, Coumadin registry, administering vaccines/injectables and other related clinical duties.</li><li>Assists providers with patient education.</li><li>Assesses new staffs clinical office protocols (i.e., vitals, phlebotomy) prior to probationary performance appraisal.</li><li>Assists management with triaging, stocking supplies, reordering clinical supplies, etc., as needed.</li><li>Assists management with annual competencies and performance appraisals.</li><li>Verifies that all quality improvement protocols are being complied with.</li><li>Assists management with improving workflows and processes.</li><li>Resolves patient/family issues in the absence of the Practice Manager.</li><li>Other relevant duties as assigned.</li></ul><br><b>Qualifications</b><ul><li>2+ years in a medical office setting, with some management or supervisory experience preferred</li><li>eClinical Works or EPIC experience an additional plus.</li></ul><br><b>Employer Description</b><p class=
