Food Preparer C-( Cook )-Food Service-Mount Sinai Hospital-Part Time/Days/Every Weekend

<br><b>Description</b><p>Prepares, cooks and dispenses food in accordance with specifications, quality standards and sanitary regulations. Assigns work to Cooks and Cook's Helpers. Maintains par level and delivers food entrees to Cafeteria steam-table, assist cooking supervisors as required.</p><br><b>Responsibilities</b><p>1. Washes, chops, slices, weighs, measures and mixes ingredients and prepares individual portions in accordance with specifications and cooking instructions.</p>
<p>2. Cooks food as assigned following detailed recipes and procedures. Uses all appropriate cooking equipment such as gas ovens, ranges, fryers and various utensils.</p>
<p>3. Assigns a variety of meal preparation tasks to Cook's Helper, such as washing, slicing and mixing ingredients, panning and seasoning foods.</p>
<p>4. Maintains cleanliness, safety and general appearance of cooking stations. Cleans work tables and utensils.</p>
<p>5. Performs above duties at all cooking stations on rotation basis, assists in cold food preparation.</p>
<p>6. Makes recommendations to supervisor regarding status of Baker and Baker's Helper.</p>
<p>7. Performs related duties as required.</p><br><b>Qualifications</b><p></p>
