Offsite Referral and Pre-Certification Specialist- Multispecialty, Long Island, New York, Full Time, Days

<br><b>Description</b><p>The Offsite Referral and Pre-Certification Specialist is responsible for completing all referrals and pre-certification requirements according to established protocols.</p><br><b>Responsibilities</b><p>1.Obtains referral and/or precerts for patients for internal and external appointments and/or orders.</p>
<p>2.Communicate information pertaining to referrals and/or precerts to patients, external medical offices, and internal staff as per established protocol.</p>
<p>3.Performs other related duties.</p><br><b>Qualifications</b><ul>
<li>High School graduate or equivalent</li>
<li>No experience is required, 1 to 3 years of experience is preferred as follows:</li>
</ul>
<p>1. Experience in processing prior-authorizations and referrals is preferred.</p>
<p>2. Understands requirements for Internal WMG referrals as well as Outgoing Referrals.</p>
<p>3. Understands the concept of PCP and referrals protocols as defined by Insurance Carriers.</p>
