<strong>Department</strong><br><br>Child Care Center <br><strong>Job Summary</strong><br><br><p> Provides care for children in assigned groups stressing individual needs within the developmental framework of social, emotional, physical and intellectual development. Teaching staff provides activities to challenge the child within the context of his or her appropriate developmental level. Helps to develop feelings of confidence and well being by having opportunities for successful encounters with adults, peers and their physical environment. Adheres to developmentally appropriate practice. Oversees team planning for designated class or classes.<br /></p> <br><strong>Required Qualifications</strong><br><br><p> - Require forty (40)-clock-hour Introductory Child Care Training comprised of Part I and Part II courses and five (5)-clock-hour (or .5 Continuing Education Units) Early Literacy and Language Development.<br />- Require:

- Associate degree in Early Childhood Education; or

- Bachelor’s / Advanced degree in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, Exceptional Student
Education; or

- a two (2) year degree or higher with six (6) college credit hours in Early Childhood/Child Growth and
Development<br />- Require two (2) years of experience working with children in a classroom setting.<br />- Require a current Level 2 AHCA background clearance.<br /></p> <br><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong><br><br><p> - Prefer three (3) years of experience working with young children.<br />- Prefer demonstrated expert interpersonal skills.<br />- Prefer the ability to work and plan with other caregivers in a team setting.<br />- Prefer demonstrated patience, enthusiasm and respect for children.<br />- Prefer demonstrated working knowledge of early childhood development.<br />- Prefer the ability to use correct grammar and spelling in writing parent notes, incident reports and communication boards.<br /></p> <br><strong>Mandatory Education</strong><br><br><p> HS EQ: High School Diploma, GED or Certificate<br /></p> <br><strong>Preferred Education</strong><br><br><p> </p> <br><strong>Required License and Certs</strong><br><br><p> </p> <br><strong>Preferred License and Certs</strong><br><br><p> </p> <p style=
