Þtails Sign-On Bonus: up to $12,000 available Department: Neurology Unit Schedule: Full Time (3 Shifts Per Week); 12-Hour Day Shift (6:30am-7:00pm) Hospital: Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown Location: Nashville, TN The 6 String Neurology/Stroke unit is a 30 bed unit that cares primarily for the stroke patient population and some medical surgical patients. This unit can be fast paced and RN's will be able to receive NIH Certification within 3 months provided through completion of online modules and in person class. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate. Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition
