Frontline Supervisor - E&I

<b>Position Title:</b> Contract Frontline Supervisor, E&I<br> <b>Location:</b> Lloydminster, SK<br> <b>Business Unit:</b> Downstream<br> <b>Start Date:</b> June 16, 2025<br> <b>End Date:</b> June 15, 2026<br><br> <b>Overview</b> We are seeking a skilled and experienced <b>Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Frontline Supervisor</b> to support a major project in Lloydminster. This role is responsible for leading all aspects of project execution including pre-mobilization, contractor oversight, field supervision, and close-out activities.<br><br> <b>Key Responsibilities</b> <b>Pre-Mobilization & Planning</b><ul><li>Support pre-mobilization work and preparation of bid documentation<br><br></li><li>Assist with bid document assembly and contractor evaluations<br><br></li><li>Contribute to project execution planning (design/model reviews, CWP development)<br><br></li></ul><b>Post-Award & Execution</b><ul><li>Lead reviews and acceptance of contractor documentation (JSA, ERP, Execution Plans, ITPs)<br><br></li><li>Communicate site hazards and ensure alignment with Safe Work Agreements<br><br></li><li>Verify compliance to submitted documentation; identify and document variances, risks, and mitigations<br><br></li><li>Flag high-risk activities and ensure risk assessments are completed<br><br></li><li>Participate in walkdowns, deficiency resolution, and contractor demobilization<br><br></li></ul><b>Safety & Quality</b><ul><li>Apply strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safe work practices<br><br></li><li>Provide oversight on installation of HV switchgear, VFDs, DCS, and control systems (greenfield & brownfield)<br><br></li><li>Support and enforce adherence to corporate safety programs and specifications<br><br></li><li>Mentor team members and participate in field-level hazard and risk assessments<br><br></li><li>Engage in quality activities (ITP reviews, walkdowns, turnover verifications)<br><br></li></ul><b>Schedule & Progress Management</b><ul><li>Understand and track contractor/vendor schedules and their alignment with master project plans<br><br></li><li>Support schedule verification, progress tracking, and recovery planning if required<br><br></li></ul><b>Cost & Reporting</b><ul><li>Review and verify contractor/vendor LEMs (labor, equipment, materials - excluding rates)<br><br></li><li>Validate contractor reporting for accuracy in actuals, forecasts, and variances<br><br></li><li>Identify safety, cost, quality, or schedule risks and assist with mitigation planning<br><br></li><li>Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve technical or logistical issues<br><br></li></ul><b>Communication & Documentation</b><ul><li>Provide daily progress, risk, and look-ahead reports<br><br></li><li>Maintain strong communication with contractors and internal team members<br><br></li><li>Keep accurate, detailed records and daily journals of field activity and key conversations<br><br></li><li>Actively participate in toolbox and coordination meetings<br><br></li></ul><b>Qualifications</b><ul><li>Red Seal Journeyperson - Electrician or Instrumentation, <b>or</b><br><br></li><li>Diploma in Electrical or Instrumentation Technology<br><br></li><li>Experience as an E&I Field Coordinator or Supervisor on capital projects<br><br></li><li>PMP or formal project management training (an asset)<br><br></li><li>Strong foundational understanding of mechanical project execution<br><br></li></ul><br /><br />With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil &amp; Gas, Power &amp; Renewables, Chemicals, Construction &amp; Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining and&nbsp;Manufacturing&nbsp;sectors worldwide.
